Our plan for the 4 Warehouses plus courtyard came about after owning them since the early 1980’s and not much changing in the area which had become run down and forgotten.
In 2017 we set out to transform the run down set of warehouses now known as The Tapestry, which acted as a catalyst for the naming of the Fabric District and its ongoing regeneration.
Whilst construction work was going on to create the Tapestry we allowed local artists headed up by Jayne Lawless (who created the Dead Pigeon Gallery in our derelict space) to use the top floor as gallery space which caught the imagination of Liverpool’s creative community and led to all 25,000 sqft of space being taken before work had completed.
Since then the area and our community has grown and is now a vibrant hub moving into its 5th year. We are excited to see more interesting space being created in Fabric District to add to the Creative community started in the Tapestry.
